“Physics is the knife that cuts into the grain of nature.” Jacob Bronowski
Welcome to my homepage! My name is Masoud Ghalaii. I am a researcher in quantum information theory at University of Leeds. I have been recipient of the UK White Rose Research Studentship, and
am employed as a Research Assistant in Quantum Key Distribution at the
University of Leeds, since October 2018. My principal supervisour is Prof Mohsen Razavi. I am also a member of Quantum Communications Hub of UK.
My main fields of interest are
- Fundamental Physics
- Quantum Optics and Photonics
- Quantum [Optical] Information and Communication
Currently I’m working on quantum optical communications, and the use of quantum amplifiers and repeaters in continuous-variable quantum key distribution, as well as satellite quantum key distribution. I am however avid for both quantum optics and quantum information.
Former Education in brief
